Within the Product Cost & Benchmarking (PCB) organization, Bosch supports global product development and strategic business decisions by delivering accurate cost analysis, competitive benchmarking, and value engineering solutions across a wide range of automotive products.

This on-site position is located at Bosch San Luis Potosí and works closely with global cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, and Product Management, to identify cost optimization opportunities, support sourcing strategies, and strengthen Bosch's competitive position through data-driven cost engineering and benchmarking expertise.

Job Description

The Cost Engineer is responsible for analyzing, calculate, and optimizing product and manufacturing costs to support Bosch’s profitability and competitiveness goals. This role collaborates with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and finance teams to evaluate cost drivers, develop cost models, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support sourcing and product development decisions. The Cost Engineer ensures accurate cost forecasting, conducts value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) activities, and provides data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency while maintaining Bosch’s quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineering; or a related technical field.

•3–5 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, or a related engineering function.

•Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional activities.

•Solid technical background with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes as Stamping, Die casting or Machining, materials, product design, and engineering fundamentals.

•Experience with competitive product benchmarking and teardown analysis is preferred.

•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

•Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical and financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.

•Self-driven, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

•Experience collaborating with global, cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

•Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
