Required Degree:
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology or related field
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate-level courses in counseling psychology content areas
Strong record or clear potential for high-quality research in counseling psychology
Experience mentoring and advising graduate students in field-based work and research
Demonstrated excellence in working as a counseling psychologist in clinical settings
Knowledge of APA accreditation requirements for counseling psychology programs
Licensed as a psychologist
Duties/Expectations:
Teach graduate courses in counseling psychology
Mentor and supervise students in the Counseling Psychology Doctoral program
Conduct independent research
Ensure APA accreditation for the program
Active engagement in ongoing enhancement to improve program outcomes and student experiences
Support collaboration with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Support university, college, and department goals and mission (see: https://www.byu.edu/about)
