Job Description

  • Capture and associate invoices to the entry depending on the shipment instructions provided by the CSR.
  • Revise entries and any required mark to ensure entries are being captured and paid correctly.
  • Ensure adherence to all processes documented in the Mexico Customs OPS Manual and Local Procedures.
  • Complete all required internal and external training courses.
  • Ensure customs compliance in import and export operations in accordance with all applicable customs laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all established internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all processes documented in the Mexico Customs OPS Manual and Local Procedures.
  • Entry Processing & Audit Area: Ensure customs entries are processed accurately and on time, maintain VUCEM compliance, validate and process duty payments, correctly set up suppliers and consignees in the system, perform audits of consolidated customs entries prior to closure, and develop customer profiles.
  • Coordinate activities with both internal customers.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in import/export operations within a Customs Brokerage Agency.
  • Knowledge of logistics processes, shipment handling, and customs clearance procedures.
  • Knowledge of Expeditors policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of customs clearance processes.
  • Knowledge of tariff classification and Non-Tariff Regulations and Restrictions (NTRRs).
  • Knowledge of customs valuation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply all applicable government regulations, laws, and restrictions.
  • Understanding of Incoterms.
  • Knowledge of the Aduasis (MASL) system.
