About the role
Working Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00–18:00, you'll support the customs team by preparing and processing customs entries, ensuring freight movements between the Republic of Ireland and the UK are completed accurately and compliantly.
You will be responsible for:
Preparing and processing customs entries for trailer freight movements
Supporting the customs team with day-to-day administrative activities
Maintaining accurate records and customs documentation
Ensuring all customs processes are completed in line with regulatory requirements
Using customs systems such as Thyme‑IT, Descartes, or similar platforms
Liaising with internal teams to support the smooth movement of freight
Investigating and resolving customs-related queries where required
About you
You'll have previous experience in customs operations, ideally within ROI–UK trailer freight movements, along with good knowledge of customs processes and compliance requirements. Experience using Thyme‑IT, Descartes, or similar customs systems is highly desirable.
You'll be confident using IT systems and possess excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will help you succeed in this role.
