Damper Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to health and safety protocols by maintaining a safe working environment, using appropriate PPE, and following established procedures for equipment operation and maintenance as well as reporting any issues through correct channels
• Mechanical & Hydraulic assembly of automotive components
• Preparation of products and Valve Components for Dyno Testing
• Dyno test damper units to ensure compliance with customer specification
• Interrogation of Dyno reports and fault Identification where necessary
• Rework of Damper units which do not meet Customer or Quality Assurance specifications
• Completion of paperwork in conformance with QA and Project Administration requirements
• Assist with maintaining workshop as a clean and safe working environment
• Participate in R&D activities as required
• Supports all company and department activities associated with meeting the goal in the “Presidents Message”
• Adopts and practices Kaizen principles and concepts, participates in continuous improvement and GEAR activities
• Follows all general procedures as indicated in the General Procedures section of the Level 3 Procedures Manual
• Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 90012014).
• Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Engineering certification or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of MS Windows
• Basic mechanical assembly experience
• Ability to read, write and speak English
