Data Analyst, Disability Operations

About this role

The Disability Analytics & Reporting team has an immediate opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Analytics team.  We are seeking a highly imaginative and motivated individual with a combination of analytic, programming and data visualization skills to enhance our business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

In this role, you will be tasked with using data to discover opportunities and solve business problems.  You should have a passion for how data can be used to drive deep, meaningful insights that enhance the customer experience, grow our businesses, minimize risk, and engage our employees. 
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with operational teams to develop analytic and business intelligence solutions
  • Create complex stored procedures to extract and transform data for use in data analysis and process automation
  • Become a Disability data subject matter expert
  • Visualize and present data for management using software tools such as Microsoft Power BI
  • Support ad-hoc requests for data & analysis from the business
  • Partner with the Advanced Analytics team of Data Scientists on various projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Expert database knowledge with the ability to create complex code to process and interpret large volumes of detailed data
  • Experience with visualization and BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or QlikView
  • Advanced experience in SQL in using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2016+
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical resources
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Very strong problem solving, decision making, multi-tasking, prioritization, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile/Lean Six Sigma

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in Python, Java, R, VBA, Visual Studio
  • Familiarity with predictive models and advanced analytics
  • Experience & Business knowledge in Financial Services and Group Benefits

Referenced Salary Location

CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote

Working Arrangement

Remote

Salary range is expected to be between

$59,100.00 CAD - $98,500.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
