About the Role

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Data Entry Specialist. This position provides administrative, reporting, and project support to both the Production and Maintenance teams through data management, documentation control, inventory tracking, and operational reporting.

This is a dynamic role that combines recurring daily responsibilities with a variety of special projects supporting multiple departments across the facility. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data, reporting systems, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and Company policy.

  • Enter and maintain coil data within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), including troubleshooting and resolving data discrepancies.

  • Organize vendor bills of lading (BOLs) and corresponding tags and documentation.

  • Input and maintain data within SAP to support accurate recordkeeping and database organization.

  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports to support production, maintenance, warehouse, and materials teams.

  • Coordinate with BNSF Railroad to track inbound coil inventory.

  • Assist the Maintenance Department with parts documentation, data creation, and record management.

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.

  • Maintain and update maintenance action logs.

  • Support purchasing activities through communication and documentation management.

  • Assist with departmental and plant-wide projects as needed.

  • Generate and distribute operational reports required by the Warehouse and Materials teams.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and departments across the facility to support operational goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain regular, predictable, full-time onsite attendance.

Who You Are

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certifications related to computer applications preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing related administrative, reporting, or data management work.

  • Experience reviewing data for accuracy and correcting inconsistencies.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Ability to accurately input, maintain, and verify data across various software platforms, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Understanding of production and manufacturing processes.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
