About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner responsible for forecasting product demand, aligning inventory with sales projections, and optimizing inventory flow across the organization. This role requires strong data analysis capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage demand planning processes across multiple sales channels.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Generate accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and customer consumption patterns
- Collaborate with the sales team to incorporate insights on targets, promotions, and market dynamics into forecasts
- Develop and maintain data-driven forecasting models and tools
- Conduct regular demand review meetings with stakeholders to assess forecast accuracy and make adjustments
- Align inventory levels with demand forecasts to ensure availability across fulfillment centers and production units
- Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to align production and supply plans
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify risks and opportunities in demand planning
- Prepare and present forecast accuracy reports with actionable insights
- Track consumption patterns across channels and recommend necessary adjustments
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams on promotions, launches, and seasonal demand changes
- Work with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure alignment with production and delivery schedules
- Provide insights for strategic decision-making and product planning
- Continuously improve demand planning processes and forecasting techniques
- Identify demand risks such as stockouts or supply disruptions and recommend mitigation strategies
- Update forecasts regularly based on market changes and business requirements
Skills Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demand planning tools
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Good understanding of inventory management and demand forecasting
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Experience
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in Demand Planning / Forecasting / Supply Chain roles
- Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
