Iron Mountain is seeking a proactive Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in Monterrey.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining our critical hardware, systems, and network infrastructure across our regional operations. Working directly on-site while partnering with remote technical teams, you’ll solve complex technical challenges to keep our facilities seamlessly connected and fully operational. Here, your hands-on expertise will strengthen our foundational IT environment while giving you a solid platform to advance your career.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide on-site support: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems while troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.

  • Setup and maintain network infrastructure: Follow network diagrams to physically rack servers, Nutanix, and devices like Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Patch Panels at remote sites.

  • Collaborate and support end-users: Address daily IT queries, offer system training, and partner with remote teams (Networking, SysAdmins, Backup) and ISPs to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Manage IT assets and compliance: Enforce security policies, keep configurations and licenses accurately documented, and manage inventory throughout the asset lifecycle.

  • Respond to emergencies: Quickly address system outages or security breaches to restore services and maintain stable connectivity.
     

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in an IT Desktop Support role.

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP networks, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, SD-WAN) and troubleshooting wired and wireless configurations.

  • Hands-on experience with hardware installations, including physically racking servers and network devices.

  • Fluency in English and local languages with professional communication skills for customer and vendor interaction.

  • Solid understanding of network security practices, basic audits, and anti-virus programs.

  • Experience with Google Workspace, Cisco Switching & Routing, or OKTA is a strong plus.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
