Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to manage and enhance our technology infrastructure in our LogiTECH team. This role involves providing technical support to employees, maintaining and optimizing company networks, servers, and IT systems, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will oversee software management, implement robust IT security measures, and assist in planning and executing IT projects to support organizational growth. Strong problem-solving, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining seamless IT operations are essential for success in this position.

What you'll be doing
1. Technical Support:
o Provide technical support to employees, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
o Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, servers, and other IT devices.
o Ensure timely response and resolution of IT-related issues through a ticketing system.

2. System & Network Administration:
o Monitor and maintain company networks and servers to ensure their continuous availability.
o Perform regular backups, security updates, and performance monitoring.
o Configure firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance and security.

3. Software Management:
o Oversee installation and maintenance of business applications and software.
o Ensure software licensing compliance and conduct regular audits.
o Provide training and support for enterprise applications used by various departments.

4. IT Security:
o Implement security policies and protocols to protect company data and systems.
o Monitor and prevent security breaches, and conduct regular risk assessments.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies, such as ISO 27001 and GDPR as prescribed by the management.

5. Project Management:
o Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, such as upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
o Collaborate with vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
o Participate in IT strategy planning to support the company’s growth and innovation.

6. Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, and licenses.
o Create and update IT documentation, such as procedures, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
o Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and IT projects.

What we're looking at
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with system and network administration, IT troubleshooting, and enterprise software management.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest IT technologies and trends.
