About the Role (your why)

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for guiding and implementing automation initiatives, dealing with software development, operations, and services. This role involves performing hands-on automation tasks, in areas including software development, operations, and services, and improving communication, collaboration and integration between wider team.

Role Responsibilities:

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Delivering an “automation first” culture to enhance customer experience and to ensure the continued relevance and financial viability of our engagements.
  • Uplifting automation and delivery maturity across Datacom leveraging agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Contributing to automation roadmaps in conjunction with the Architecture, Tools, Automation and Planning group guidelines and standards and execute within identified milestones
  • Influencing architectural decisions, implementing, and managing core infrastructure, developing internal tools, and looking to automate as many processes as possible.
  • Performing hands-on automation tasks to treat infrastructure as code.
  • Performing routine analysis of the production environment and ensure that operations for each project run smoothly.
  • Providing execution of activities related to infrastructure, security, continuous integration, continuous deployment, IT operations and metrics.
  • Collaborating with other System Administrators, Developers, Testers, Architects, Business Analysts and wider business teams.
  • Using business-oriented operations to achieve successful development and identify alternative solutions for reducing the gap between the productions and deployment period.
  • Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others.
  • Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy.

Requirements

  • Must have strong experience in Infrastructure as a Code (IAC), Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep (Nice to have)
  • Strong experience in Azure Cloud,  CI/CD pipeline experience. Azure certifications   (AZ400, AZ104, AZ204, AZ500), DevOps Toolsets (Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus), Experience in Containers (Kubernetes or Dockers)
  • Added advantage for AZ-500 (MS Azure Security Technologies)
  • Strong and varied practical hands-on experience in Azure automation and familiar with Git, repos, and DevOps processes.
  • A successful candidate will go through assessment test for using Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform and CDKTF, etc) and automation (Powershell coding skills, Azure DevOps, ability to code Azure functions).

Our office is located in BGC, Taguig, and we offer a hybrid work setup with two days in the office per week (unless the business requires a different work-from-office arrangement), along with a flexible work schedule.
