Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director – Group Portfolio & Liquidity Management to lead the management of corporate fixed income portfolios across investment-grade, and emerging market credit strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating risk-adjusted returns through active portfolio construction, credit selection, sector allocation, and relative value positioning, while adhering to investment guidelines and risk parameters.

This role requires a strong understanding of global credit markets, macroeconomic trends, and corporate fundamentals, combined with the ability to translate investment insights into portfolio outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate bond portfolios in accordance with investment objectives, mandates, and risk limits.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies based on macroeconomic, market, sector, and issuer-level views.
  • Conduct portfolio construction, security selection, duration management, yield curve positioning, and sector allocation.
  • Perform fundamental credit analysis and assess issuer creditworthiness, valuation, liquidity, and relative value opportunities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, tracking error, and compliance with investment guidelines.
  • Identify and execute investment opportunities across investment-grade, and emerging market corporate bonds.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to execute transactions efficiently and optimize portfolio liquidity.
  • Monitor global credit markets and evaluate the impact of economic, geopolitical, and regulatory developments on portfolio positioning.
  • Present investment strategies, portfolio performance, and market outlooks to senior management.
  • Support new product development and contribute thought leadership on credit markets and fixed income investing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • CFA charterholder or progress toward CFA designation preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in corporate bond investing, fixed income portfolio management, credit research, or institutional asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate bond portfolios with a track record of investment performance.
  • Strong knowledge of global credit markets, fixed income instruments, and portfolio risk management techniques.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of corporate credit analysis, bond valuation, credit spreads, and relative value assessment.
  • Experience with portfolio analytics, risk attribution, duration management, and performance measurement.
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ESG integration within fixed income investment processes is advantageous.
