Join the opening leadership team of Avani Singapore and play a pivotal role in delivering one of Singapore's most exciting new lifestyle hospitality destinations. This is a unique opportunity to build the hotel's commercial success from the ground up, establish its market presence, and help shape its future from day one.
At Avani, we create stylish and seamless experiences for modern travellers. We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven Director of Sales to lead the hotel's sales strategy through pre-opening and beyond. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive revenue growth, build strong business partnerships, and position Avani Singapore as a preferred destination across key market segments.
What You'll Do
- Lead all sales pre-opening activities, including account acquisition, market positioning, sales strategy development, team mobilization, and business pipeline generation
- Develop and execute the hotel's overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share
- Lead sales activities across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Consortia, and other key market segments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners, event planners, and strategic stakeholders
- Partner closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to maximise commercial performance
- Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting to support business objectives
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Sales team
- Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and business opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior sales leadership role within hospitality
- Proven track record of driving hotel revenue growth and achieving sales targets
- Strong understanding of Corporate, MICE, Leisure, and associated revenue segments
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, relationship-building, and business development skills
- Pre-opening hotel experience is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Singapore hospitality market and key demand drivers
- Established network of corporate, MICE, and travel industry contacts within Singapore would be advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
- Fluent in English
