Role overview
The Director, Portfolio Marketing (Solutions Marketing) is responsible for defining, positioning and driving the go-to-market strategy for the company’s technology and consulting solutions. This role develops compelling solution messaging, value propositions and portfolio strategies across areas such as Data & AI, Cloud (Azure/AWS), CRM, Salesforce, Databricks, Application Engineering and Digital Transformation.
The ideal candidate will be working closely with leadership, sales, delivery, alliances and technology partners, the Director creates impactful sales enablement assets, including playbooks, battlecards and solution collateral. By leveraging market intelligence and customer insights, the role continuously enhances the solutions portfolio to strengthen competitive positioning, accelerate pipeline growth and drive revenue.
Key responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy
- Architect and evolve our solutions portfolio across Data, AI, Cloud, CRM and Digital Transformation.
- Define the major market themes that connect customer problems to our capabilities.
- Identify market opportunities and prioritize investments based on customer demand, competitive dynamics and delivery readiness.
- Develop solution packaging that combines internal capabilities with strategic partner offerings.
Positioning and Messaging
You'll become the voice of the market inside the company.
- Solution positioning
- Messaging frameworks
- Value propositions
- Buyer narratives
- Industry messaging
- Competitive differentiation
You'll partner closely with Delivery, Sales, Alliances and Customer Success to ensure every message is grounded in real customer outcomes.
Go-to-Market Strategy
Lead commercialization for new and existing solutions by:
- Defining buyer personas and ICPs
- Building launch strategies
- Developing solution playbooks
- Working with Demand Generation to bring launches to market
Sales Enablement
Build the assets that help sales win.
Including:
- Messaging guides
- Battlecards
- Competitive comparisons
- Sales presentations
- Playbooks
- Demo narratives
- Objection handling
- Partner enablement materials
Market Intelligence
Become the expert on:
- Enterprise buying trends
- Customer needs
- Competitor positioning
- Partner ecosystem
- Industry trends
- Translate those insights into better solutions and better messaging.
Required skills and competencies:
- 15+ years of experience in B2B Solution Marketing, Portfolio Marketing, or Product Marketing.
- Proven experience commercializing professional services and multi-service offerings.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology domains, including Data and AI, Cloud, CRM and Digital Transformation.
- Demonstrated success in building revenue-generating go-to-market strategies.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, enterprise sales teams, solution architects and technology partners.
Must have skills:
- Expertise in Solution Portfolio Strategy and Go-to-Market (GTM) planning.
- Strong positioning, messaging and value proposition development.
- Deep knowledge of Data and AI, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Salesforce and Digital Transformation.
- Sales enablement and commercialization experience for enterprise solutions.
- Exceptional cross-functional stakeholder management and strategic communication skills.
Good to have skills:
- Experience in consulting firms, system integrators, or digital transformation organizations.
- Knowledge of enterprise buying behavior and competitive market analysis.
- Experience partnering with technology alliance ecosystems.
- Familiarity with demand generation and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience developing industry-specific solution narratives and messaging.
