Job Overview:
Job Summarry
Operate drilling equipment to bore holes for various construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
Job Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain a variety of drilling equipment, including but not limited to, directional drills, auger drills, and rock drills.
* Prepare drill sites, including setting up equipment, ensuring proper alignment, and performing pre-operational checks.
* Monitor drilling operations, including drill depth, pressure, and rotation, and make adjustments as necessary.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and utility maps to determine drill path and avoid existing infrastructure.
* Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.
* Document drilling progress, daily logs, and equipment inspections.
* Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders.
* Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Proven experience as a Drill Operator, preferably with directional drilling experience.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
* Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
* Knowledge of drilling techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
