EY’s FSO Business Consulting are experiencing an exciting period of growth due to the financial services sector undergoing rapid transformative changes. In response to market demand, we are looking for an experienced senior manager in working with Financial Services Industry in Ireland or UK, and proven expertise in leadership of complex finance transformation delivery projects.
Role Description & Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our FS Business Consulting team bringing expertise in Finance and regulatory reporting, a track record of supporting clients and engagement teams in interpreting regulatory requirements, assessing impacts of regulatory change and developing practical solutions to complex reporting, data and governance challenges. This role offers the chance for you to work with leading financial institutions, interpret and solve complex regulatory issues, drive stakeholder engagement, and deliver high-quality outcomes for our financial services clients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert to clients and engagement teams on regulatory reporting, finance transformation and regulatory change initiatives.
Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks, including the development of relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
Support clients in interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical operating and data solutions.
Manage innovation in processes and systems, leveraging technology to enhance client performance.
Manage and lead diverse teams, supporting performance, development and inclusivity.
Skills and Attributes for Success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Deep experience in key Finance Regulatory reporting or Regulatory change programmes i.e. BCBS239, IReF, IFRS 9, SRB, Stress testing
6 years in delivering regulatory reporting or finance transformation programmes
Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their implications for business processes, data, controls and operating models.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management and regulatory reporting data requirements.
Understanding of technology trends and implications on the Financial Services industry
Strong communication skills, with experience of managing strategy material and presenting to key stakeholders.
Experience of delivering change through multi-disciplinary stakeholders and collaborating across jurisdictions.
Understanding of finance data, reporting processes, data governance and technology-enabled reporting solutions.
Ideally you will also have:
An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) applied in a financial institution would be beneficial
Experience with SQL, a range of data governance tooling, BI Tools and data platforms
