About this role

About the Role

We are looking for an E-commerce Project Manager to join our global commerce team and help drive the expansion and continuous evolution of our digital commerce platform. This role sits at the intersection of business, customer experience, and technology. You will lead e-commerce initiatives across different regions, working with business owners, designers, engineers, data teams, marketing teams, and IT stakeholders to turn business needs and opportunities into solutions that can be successfully delivered and scaled. Execution is an important part of the role — but we are not looking for someone who simply manages schedules, requirements, and task lists.

We expect this person to understand: What business problem are we trying to solve? Why does it matter? And how should we translate that goal into something the team can actually deliver?

What You Will Do

1.Drive E-commerce Initiatives from Business Need to Delivery

- You will own and drive initiatives from early discussion through implementation and launch.

- Your responsibility is not simply to make sure something gets delivered.

- You should understand why we are doing it, help clarify what success should look like, and ensure that the solution being delivered addresses the original business need.

2. Understand the Business Problem Behind the Request

- Our stakeholders may come to us with a feature request, but the requested feature is not always the actual problem.

- You are not expected to independently own the overall commerce strategy or business KPIs. However, you should have enough business sense and product thinking to challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, and help the team make better decisions.

3. Work Across Regions, Cultures, and Functions

- Our commerce platform supports multiple countries and regions. A critical part of this role is therefore empathy.

- You should be able to understand a situation from another person's perspective — whether that person is a regional business owner trying to hit a sales target, an engineer explaining a technical limitation, a designer advocating for the customer experience, or an operations team dealing with a local constraint.

- The goal is not simply to collect requirements. It is to understand why different stakeholders want different things, find common ground, and help the organization move forward.

4. Balance Regional Needs with a Global Platform

- Different markets naturally have different needs.

- At the same time, we are building a global commerce platform that needs to remain scalable and maintainable.

- You will work with business and technical teams to find the right balance between local business needs and global scalability.

5. Lead Cross-functional Execution

- Once the problem and direction are clear, you will drive the initiative forward.

- We expect you to create clarity when things are ambiguous and maintain momentum when multiple teams and dependencies are involved.

The Mindset We Are Looking For

1. Business-minded

- You are curious about the business behind the product.

- You don't need to be a commerce expert on day one, but you naturally want to understand how the company makes money, how customers buy, and why a particular initiative matters.

2. Product-minded

- You distinguish between a request and a problem. When someone asks for a feature, your instinct is to first understand what they are actually trying to accomplish.

3. Empathetic

- You can work with people who see the same problem very differently. Instead of immediately deciding who is right, you try to understand the context, incentives, constraints, and concerns behind each perspective.

4. Structured

- You can take an ambiguous problem involving many stakeholders and gradually turn it into something the organization can understand and execute.

5. Strong in Ownership

- You don't see your responsibility ending at handing requirements to another team. You stay engaged until the problem is understood, the right people are aligned, and the initiative is successfully delivered.

6. Comfortable with Technology

- You do not need to be an engineer. However, you should be comfortable working closely with technical teams and learning enough about the platform to understand trade-offs, dependencies, and constraints.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome candidates from different levels of experience.

Relevant experience may include:

• E-commerce

• Digital products

• Project management

• Digital transformation

• Website or platform development

• IT / business system projects

Experience working with complex, cross-functional, or international projects will be particularly valuable.

You should be comfortable communicating in both Chinese and English, as the role involves frequent collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.
