About this role
DUTIES: Develop, build, test, and maintain new features of shopper applications in collaboration with product leadership, designers, and engineers. Specific job duties include: (1) work cross-stack with other engineering teams to drive solutions and develop front end applications using React Native and React; (2) develop front end applications for iOS and Android using version control, including Git, for shared code base; (3) test and troubleshoot shopper app issues using Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox, and find creative, scalable solutions for common app problems; (4) execute daily technical tasks, including handling big fixes, implementing new features for the app; (5) assist with app testing for weekly releases using Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox; (6) collect and analyze app metrics to drive quality and efficiency; (7) communicate complex ideas and processes, simply and concisely; (8) analyze network traffic and data payloads during incident troubleshooting; and (9) create and maintain documentation for functionality, workflow, and internal process. Uses the following tools and technologies: React Native, React, iOS, Android, hybrid mobile frameworks, Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, JS, GIT. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 2 years of related experience in a software engineer or developer occupation. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: (1) developing front end applications using React Native, React, Jest, and Detox; (2) developing applications for iOS, Android native and hybrid mobile frameworks; (3) testing applications using Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox; and (4) using version control, including Git, for shared code base. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at 420 20th St N, Suite 100, Birmingham, AL 35203. Salary: $78,700 to $157,700/year.
