About this role
Account Executive
Saras Analytics | Hyderabad, India
Why Saras?
Saras Analytics is a fast-growing data, analytics, and AI firm with offices in New York and Hyderabad, built specifically for e-commerce brands that want to make smarter decisions, faster. Over the last four years, we’ve scaled to an 8-figure business — and we’re targeting 3X growth over the next three years.
What makes Saras different isn’t the “AI” label — every company has that now. What makes us different is that our AI actually works. A decade of deep e-commerce domain expertise means our products are built with the context, the KPI definitions, and the business intelligence that generic tools simply don’t have. One of our clients went from waiting 10 days for a business-critical answer to getting it in 45 minutes — not because we gave them a faster dashboard, but because we gave them an AI layer that understands their business the way their best analyst does.
Our consulting practice and our product business reinforce each other. The brands we work with don’t just buy software — they become sharper, more data-driven organizations. That flywheel is our moat, and it’s growing.
For the right salesperson, this is a rare opportunity. You’ll be selling something that genuinely works, in a market that is actively looking for it, at a company that has the culture and the track record to back it up. High ownership, high visibility, and no ceiling for someone with the ambition to match.
What is the role?
As an Account Executive at Saras, your mission is simple: close new business. You will own a portfolio of e-commerce accounts and be responsible for driving $1M in net new revenue annually across a mix of product and consulting deals.
You will work closely with the VP of Sales, who is actively involved in the sales process. For the first three months, expect to be in the trenches alongside them — shadowing deals, absorbing the Saras sales motion, and supporting early closures. By month four or five, you should be leading deals independently with light support. By month six, you’re running your own book.
The role is structured to set you up for success. The majority of your pipeline will be sourced for you through marketing, partnerships, and other Saras-driven channels — your job is to run those deals hard and close them. Over time, you’re expected to build roughly 30% of your own pipeline, with an accelerated commission structure that rewards self-sourced deals.
Day to day, you will:
- Run discovery and qualification calls to deeply understand buyer pain
- Build compelling business cases aligned to each customer’s specific needs
- Lead product and consulting proposals, demos, and proof of concepts
- Manage your pipeline with rigor and forecast accurately
- Collaborate closely with delivery and leadership to ensure a seamless handoff post-close
Deal sizes typically range from $50K to $100K, blending product and consulting — so you need to be comfortable selling both value and vision.
What will make you successful?
You don’t need to be told twice. You show up prepared, you run your deals with discipline, and at the end of every week you’re already thinking about how to do better next week. You’re competitive by nature — whether that shows up on a court, a leaderboard, or a pipeline report, you want to win and you put in the work to earn it.
You are diligent and process-oriented, and you manage your time like someone who knows exactly what the scoreboard says.
You can hold a real conversation with a VP of Marketing in New York or a CFO in Austin with equal ease. You’ve made the effort to understand the culture you’re selling into, and it shows in how quickly you build trust.
Technically, you’re no pushover either. You can translate messy data challenges into clean business cases, and you use AI as a genuine productivity weapon. Your English is sharp, your follow-through is sharper, and you don’t need hand-holding to close.
What will set you apart?
You don’t just have years on your resume — you have results. You’ve carried a quota and hit it. That matters more to us than the industry you came from.
That said, here’s what gets you to the top of our list:
- 5+ years of experience selling technology or consulting services, with a proven track record of quota attainment
- You have sold to US-based buyers. Not exposure, not adjacent — you have been in the room, on the call, and across the table from American decision-makers and you know how to win their trust
- A background in SaaS sales, consulting sales, or both
- Prior experience in e-commerce or data and analytics — if you already speak the language of our clients, you hit the ground running faster
- Hunger. You’re not looking for a comfortable role. You’re looking for a platform.
Life at Saras
Saras is a company where people stay. Our sales team is just 4.5 years old, and the average tenure is already over three years — in a function notorious for churn, that’s not an accident. It’s a reflection of how we treat our people and the opportunity we give them to grow.
Here’s what comes with the role:
- A compensation structure built for high performers — 60% fixed, 40% variable, with an accelerated commission rate on self-sourced pipeline and kickers for overachievement. Close well, and the structure rewards you for it.
- Comprehensive health insurance covering you, your spouse, and two children
- Travel to the US for customer meetings and industry conferences
- Allowances for internet and relocation, as applicable
- An office in Hyderabad overlooking the beautiful Durgam Cheruvu — and a team that makes coming in worth it
