Estimator - Commercial Construction

About this role

We’re working with a well-established commercial construction business to find an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is a key role within the pre-construction function, supporting tender preparation through to post-tender negotiations.

You’ll be involved across a range of commercial projects, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver accurate, competitive tenders with a clear understanding of risk.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong commercial construction background, be commercially sharp, and confident producing high-quality tenders that balance cost, value, and risk.

Key requirements:

  • Solid experience in commercial construction, ideally with a background in quantity surveying or pre-construction

  • Proven experience using estimating software

  • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple tenders at once

  • Confident negotiating and building relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Clear and professional communication skills

  • A collaborative approach, with a willingness to take ownership and contribute to the wider team

  • Leadership capability or the potential to support and mentor others
