The Exercise and Simulation Planner is a key position within the Fleet Lethality organisation focused on advancing and integrating synthetic warfighting capabilities. This role directly impacts the Navy's ability to train and operate effectively within single service, joint, and international contexts by ensuring cutting-edge simulation technologies and methodologies are employed. The position enhances interoperability with joint and allied partners, ultimately contributing to the operational readiness and strategic objectives of the RAN.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy under general direction from senior leadership. The incumbent is expected to exercise expert judgment and initiative in fulfilling the duties, while regularly consulting with key stakeholders and reporting progress. The duties involve complex technical, operational, and strategic considerations, requiring the ability to analyse diverse inputs and develop innovative solutions.
