For our office in Geneva, we are currently looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical R&D Engineer.

Main tasks:

  • Design for manufacturing, cost-efficient and robust solutions.
  • Convert advanced concepts into practical design.
  • Challenges concepts and drawings produced by others.
  • Be a reference and coach for robust design.
  • Support actual products within a multi-department team.
  • Able to master actual product requiring complex multi-physical understandings.
  • Hands-on with experimental mounting and testing.

Requirements

  • Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar.
  • Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys).
  • Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic).
  • Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
  • Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
  • Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset).
  • English (must), French and/or German (wish).
  • Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks).
  • Functional Analysis, FMEA.
  • Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
