Job Purpose: The facilities coordinator is responsible for all maintenance work on the DC.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Warehouse experience essential

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum Grade 12/ Equivalent NQF4 qualification
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTING / MAINTENANCE
- Report all repair work on damaged racking;
- Report damaged sprinklers;
- Report damaged floor rails;
- Report damaged doors and dock leveller’s
- Report lights not working;
- Arrange replacement of damaged signage;
- Ensure painting of lines inside the DC/RC is done;
- Do ad hoc repairs or improvements in the DC/RC;
- Responsible for managing the contractors on site;
- Landscaping (Improvements);
- Reporting damage to storm-water grids
- Painting of lines
- Painting of services manholes
- Reporting security lights
- Do Ad hoc repairs in the yard (Armco barriers, paving fencing curbs, etc.)
OPERATIONAL SHIFT MANAGEMENT
- Conduct inspection in all the valve chambers to ensure the valves and gong valves are all in the open position and lock with a soft chain;
- Ensure pressure settings are correct (Old pump room 800kpa and new pump room 1000kpa);
- Ensure Diesel pump motors are full;
- Ensure standby diesel drums are full;
- Ensure Ventilation systems are working;
- Ensure Grey water plant is 100% operational;
- Ensure the Gas monitoring system working;
- Ensure Generators are all in automatic position;
- Ensure the static power light in the plant room is on (Orange).
FINANCE / COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Issue order no’s for services rendered and goods ordered;
- Check rates/discounts;
- Obtain quotes for services needed and materials needed as per DC maintenance requirements;
- Follow up on invoices received and ensure payment is processed;
- Ensure the cherry picker machine is available when required.
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Establish and build a relationship with client representatives;
- Daily/weekly inspections;
- Attend formal meetings at a client with the Operations / Facilities manager when required;
- Develop awareness of client needs and business and identify potential opportunities within the client and communicate to Operations Manager;
- Communicate and provide feedback regularly to clients and resolve client queries timeously
