The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services:

RTX Enterprise Real Estate Services (ERS) has an opening for a Facilities, Maintenance Manager (Manager, Facilities) position.

Responsible for leading team supervisors and hourly workforce supporting 5 million square feet of manufacturing and office space located in Tucson.  Provide daily oversight, direction and leadership regarding Work Order Management, customer service and adherence to budget in a Union environment.

The role will also involve coordination with customers on business interests and provide an appropriate business response within Facilities. This position also communicates with stakeholders as a Facilities department representative and gives guidance to customers on a course of action which is consistent with department objectives.

What You Will Do:


  • Represent Facilities and make decisions which commit resources and impact the business response of Facilities.

  • Communicate business decisions of Facilities and be able to articulate them with clarity and understanding.

  • Define and articulate the detail scope of work and the over-arching requirements of a Facilities action to contractors and maintenance staff.

  • Selectively monitor critical facilities actions to completion.

  • Act as an advisor to subordinates or staff to articulate common goals and layout a tactical plan to solve problems.

  • Understand and maintain compliance with Safety training, laws, codes, and regulations.

  • Assess risk and develop mitigation plans while keeping progress moving forward.

  • Manage an internal business portfolio consisting of hourly supervision and hourly Trades.

  • Manage an assigned SAP business queue of work.

  • Focus on the overall safety and wellbeing of all assigned team members.

  • Collect, review and broadcast overall team metrics.

  • Follow all internal EHS guidelines and achieve a “zero-injury” workplace.

  • Part of this role might require participation in an internal Standby Supervisor position within Facilities-Maintenance. Our Standby Supervisor is responsible for taking afterhours maintenance calls for a one-week time period and weekend coverage during the same assigned time period. This internal assignment occurs 2-3 times per year on average.

  • The expectation would be to answer all phone calls promptly on your company issued cell phone.

 
Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in facilities management and a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.

  • 8+ years’ experience to include supervising or leading building repair and maintenance activities for building infrastructure

  • 2+ years’ experience in a CMMS system such as the Plant Maintenance module of SAP or related.

  • 5+ years’ experience in facility management, facility engineering or construction management.

  • 1+ years’ knowledge of production equipment and building infrastructures related to electrical-mechanical maintenance activities. 
  • 1+ years’ understanding of Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance technologies (PdM).

Qualifications We Prefer:


  • Familiarity with Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, plumbing systems, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures; SAP/CMMS Operation.

  • Strong understanding of commercial Infrastructure to include BAS, Electrical Distribution, Mechanical and Fire Life Safety Systems.

  • Experience working with Bargaining Unit employees.

  • Power Logic power monitoring and operation plus understanding of Building Automation and controls, Siemens and JCI.

  • Ability to work afterhours


Location: Onsite Tucson AZ

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
