Facility Engineer

1. Position Summary:

We are seeking a Facility Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of PRM Chengdu site facilities and utility systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuous operations by maintaining infrastructure, responding to issues, and contributing to improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to enhance facility performance and sustainability.

2. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  Oversee the daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment. 

  Monitor system performance and maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation to support operational transparency. 

  Respond promptly to facility-related issues or breakdowns, troubleshoot root causes, and implement timely repairs to minimize disruption. 

  Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to ensure optimal system reliability and extend equipment lifespan. 

  Support facility upgrades, modification projects, and energy efficiency initiatives by providing technical input and overseeing implementation and acceptance. 

  Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and fire protection regulations through regular inspections and corrective actions. 

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs such as space adjustments, utilities provision, and infrastructure changes. 

  Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring service quality, cost control, and timely delivery.

  Monitor inventory and usage of spare parts and consumables, and support budget tracking and cost optimization efforts.

4. For This Role, You Will Need:

  Background in engineering or technical disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, water systems, or facilities management, or equivalent hands-on experience. 

  Practical knowledge of facility systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues. 

  Experience supporting maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance planning and execution. 

  Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings and system diagrams. 

  Familiarity with standard office tools and maintenance documentation practices. 

  Basic English communication skills (written or verbal) to support workplace interactions. 

  Willingness to work in an on-site environment with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.

5. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  Relevant technical certifications, such as an electrical license or similar credentials. 

  Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or large-site facility operations. 

  Exposure to energy-saving or facility optimization projects. 

  Experience managing contractors or service providers. 

  Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
