About this role

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Facility Security Officer (FSO) to provide overall protection of classified and unclassified information and implement the industrial security program on behalf of Amentum’s USINDOPACOM Program Management Office (PMO) in support of Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.  This position is located at our Koapaka Office in Honolulu, Hawaii.

  • Have experience and knowledge in classification management, security education, physical security, industrial security, communications security (COMSEC), computer security, and personnel security.

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will interface with all levels of Amentum and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance.  Additionally, the FSO will be required to conduct self-assessments, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and oversees security procedures in accordance with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives and Amentum Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs), Department of State (DoS), Department of Defense (DoD) and other applicable government sponsor regulations.
  • Maintains National Industrial Security System (NISS) database (and/or successive systems), ensuring company records are up to date.
  • Conducts government required Self-Assessments of the Facility, records, systems, personnel records, etc., developing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Participate in DCSA Security Assessments to include completing all pre-assessment documents as required by DCSA, ensuring Senior Management Official is appropriately prepared, and ensuring corrective actions are addressed as required.
  • Responsible for preparation of all SCI related documentation for submission to the Customer, if required.
  • Acts as a liaison with customer security POC when requested by Contracts or Program Management.
  • Conducts security related surveys, audits, inspections, and assessments.
  • Assists in the development of and tracking of personnel for required company and USG compliance training.
  • Process classified visit requests and certifications.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives and associated industrial security regulations, policies, and laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial security processes, procedures, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to effectively interface with various levels of employees and management.
  • Bachelor’s degree, with minimum 5 years related Industrial Security experience.
  • Experience as a DCSA-certified FSO.
  • Required certifications include: FSO (in accordance with NISPOM), DISS (and/or successive system), PII, Cyber Awareness.
  • Must possess and maintain an U.S. Security Clearance at the Top-Secret level or higher.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.

  • The salary range for this position is $150K to $175K (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
