The ideal candidate will be warm, loving, communicative, and easy to have in the home.
Location: Encinitas, CA
Start Date: August 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Compensation: $20–$33/hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Not provided

The primary focus of this position will be attentive and loving care of the family's infant son.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing hands-on infant care throughout the workday
Supporting the baby's age-appropriate development and milestones
Maintaining a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment
Tending to feeding, diapering, naps, playtime, and general daily needs
Keeping the nursery clean, tidy, and organized
Monitoring and organizing diapers, wipes, and other baby supplies
Communicating openly with the parents regarding the baby's routine, development, and needs
No special dietary requirements at this time.
Both parents work from home. The father's work schedule is less flexible, while Mom has somewhat greater flexibility and may occasionally step away from her office to assist or spend time with the baby. The Family Assistant should therefore be comfortable working collaboratively with parents who are present in the home while independently managing the baby's day-to-day care.
In addition to infant care, the Family Assistant will provide reasonable household support related to keeping the family's day running smoothly.
Responsibilities may include:
Baby-related shopping and keeping necessary supplies stocked
Laundry for the baby as well as some family clothing and towels
Keeping the nursery organized
Tidying baby-related areas
Folding and putting away laundry
Keeping baby supplies orderly and readily available
Shopping responsibilities will be specifically related to the baby and the baby's needs.
Cooking is not required, and regular driving or family errands are not part of the position.
The family is especially interested in someone who:
Truly loves infants and enjoys spending their day caring for a baby
Has excellent hands-on experience with babies and infant development
Is warm, affectionate, personable, and nurturing
Is dependable and comfortable taking responsibility for an infant throughout the workday
Communicates naturally and easily with parents
Is comfortable working in a home where both parents work remotely
Is organized and attentive to keeping the nursery and baby's supplies in order
Is willing to assist with family laundry and other agreed-upon household support
Understands how to be helpful and present without being intrusive
Is interested in becoming a trusted and valued part of the family's daily routine
Because this person will be spending a significant amount of time in the family's home, personality and chemistry are extremely important. The parents are hoping to find someone who is not only experienced, but also genuinely loving, approachable, and easy to communicate with.
