Role Overview The Field Network Support Technician role is responsible for meeting our customers’ expectations by providing expert, ethical, and reliable technical assistance. This position can work independently to resolve technical support and network-related cases, as well as tasks assigned within projects. You will be responsible to: Resolve assigned issues (tickets). Review assigned cases and performed daily follow-ups. Be proactive with assigned cases and operational improvements. Clearly document cases from assignment through closure. Keep stakeholders informed about assigned cases. Support other team members with their cases. Continuously train on topics related to the role or as required and contribute knowledge to the team. Physical & Manual Responsibilities Infrastructure: Comfortable using ladders to install or replace Access Points (APs) and other network hardware. Cabling: Hands-on work including pulling cables through conduits and professional RJ45 (Cat6) crimping. Peripherals: Physical setup and network configuration of printers and other local hardware. On this team you´ll work with a group of talented professionals such as Lisanny Blandino. Requirements Current student in Networking / IT (ideally ITLA) who has completed at least one term/quarter. Network Technician or Technologist (preferred). CCNA is preferred. 2 years of experience providing some form of technical support. Experience working with networks. Experience working with printers, antivirus solutions, servers, etc. Collaboration & VoIP: Proficiency with VoIP platforms (e.g., Grandstream, Isabel) and modern collaboration tools such as Jira and Microsoft Teams. Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Intermediate networking knowledge. Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Benefits Why Join GBH?
