Field Officer - Domestic Sales

About this role

Job Purpose:
To drive sales and awareness of drip irrigation systems under UPMIP/PDMC schemes by conducting field campaigns, demonstrations, and dealer engagement activities. The role focuses on expanding the dealer network, strengthening relationships, and promoting the adoption of efficient irrigation solutions among farmers to achieve sales and outreach targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drip Sales & Mini Sales

  • Promote drip irrigation systems under UPMIP/PDMC among farmers.
  • Conduct mini‐sales campaigns and demonstrations in local villages to showcase system benefits.

2. Dealer Development & Dealer Meets

  • Identify, onboard, and support new dealers and suppliers in alignment with UPMIP protocols.
  • Organize and facilitate regular dealer meets to share insights, benchmark sales, address challenges, and plan strategies.

3. Farmer Field Survey & Document Collection

  • Visit villages to survey farmers, gather land and Khasra details, capture farmer information, and understand irrigation needs.
  • Collect and verify documentation such as Aadhaar, bank details, land records, and application forms.

4. Government Department Liaisons & Procedure

  • Liaise with district-level horticulture officers and other government departments for registration, approvals, and procedural support.
  • Ensure compliance with UPMIP/PDMC protocols throughout the application and sanction process.

5. UPMIP Portal & Process Management

  • Facilitate farmer registration on the UPMIP portal and track status through all stages—from “New Registration” to “Sanction Letter Issued,” TPA clearance, inspection, and final invoice submission
  • Assist suppliers and farmers with uploading required documents, BOQ entries, geo-tagging (KML), TPA and advance payment requests, and invoice generation

6. Dashboard Monitoring & MIS Reporting

  • Monitor your area’s registration progress using dashboards available on the portal (e.g. Pending Supplier, BOQ Sent, TPA Cleared, Inspection status, Invoice sent)
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on registration status, sales figures, and pending actions.

7. Follow-up & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with farmers, suppliers, and district officers to ensure timely submission and clearing of applications.
  • Support inspection teams and manage field-level follow-ups post-inspection.

Skills & Qualification:

  • Education Graduate in Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Management, or related field.
  • Experience Prior experience in agricultural sales, rural outreach, or government project execution is a plus.
  • Technical Skills Basic PC, internet, and portal navigation skills. Comfortable with data entry and MIS dashboards.
  • Analytical & Reporting Ability to track progress, prepare status reports, and highlight action points.
  • Mobility Ready to travel within assigned district or block frequently; field visits are essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills Relationship-oriented, collaborative mindset to coordinate effectively across departments.
