The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Field Service Engineering trainee and be an expert. This role allows you to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific market and provide our clients with the best-in-class product. How you’ll make an impact
1. You will participate in comprehensive training programs to learn about Hitachi products, systems, and service procedures.
2. You will assist experienced Field Service Engineers with the installation, configuration, and commissioning of Hitachi equipment at customer sites.
3. You will support routine preventative maintenance activities and perform diagnostic checks on various systems.
4. You will shadow and learn from senior engineers during complex troubleshooting and repair operations.
5. You will document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and problem resolutions.
6. You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field.
7. You will develop a strong understanding of customer needs and contribute to delivering exceptional service.
8. You will continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and product updates.
9. You will travel to various customer locations as required.
10. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent technical certification.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
4. A strong desire to learn and grow within a technical field service role.
5. Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
6. Proficiency in using basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment (training will be provided).
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel extensively.
9. Prior internship or relevant technical experience is a plus.
