Finance and Risk Reconciliations Build Lead Analyst

About this role

The Application Development Technology Lead Analyst is a strategic and highly visible role within the Global Reconciliations organization, responsible for leading a team of 4 to 5 associates building new reconciliations, testing, implementation and post production monitoring of critical Finance and Risk reconciliation controls across the bank. The successful candidate will get involved in leading a team and building/enhancing reconciliation using Citi Owned reconciliation tool called Onerec/quickrec for various Consent Order/Fincance Use cases across Trades, Positions, and Contracts spanning multiple asset classes, including Derivatives, Securities, Loans, Deposits, and Commodities.

Responsibilities:

Reconciliation Controls & Analytics

  • Understand the reconciliation requirements provided by business analyst/stakeholders.
  • Build/enhance reconciliation using Citi Inhouse tool Quickrec/OneRec for multi-way reconciliations involving Trades, Positions, Contracts, and financial balances.
  • Design and build reconciliations using Citi Inhouse tool Quickrec/OneRec for multi-way reconciliations involving Trades, Positions, Contracts between Olympus (authorized wholesale data redistribution platform) and key Finance and Risk platforms, including:
    • General Ledger
    • Liquidity Systems
    • Risk Systems
  • Work on data processing layer using Unix Shell scripting, SQL and configuration of various processes and dependencies using Autosys.
  • Perform reconciliation testing during UAT phase and support implementation of reconciliations.
  • Provide required L3 support for post production related incidents
  • Identify recurring reconciliation issues and drive long-term strategic remediation plans.

  • Proven ability to engage and influence team members and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation and executive communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Ability to lead discussions, drive consensus, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Having around 4 to 6 year experience in leading a team of 4 or above.
  • Understanding of Finance and Risk reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Experience working with:
    • Derivatives
    • Securities
    • Loans
    • Deposits
    • Commodities
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliation platforms and data analytics tools like Citi Inbuild tool Quickrec/Onerec or third party Smart stream TLM tool.
  • Unix/Linux and SQL experience for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 11-15 years experience of working on controls/reconciliations and performing various data analytical work on Finance and Risk data.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
