The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will contribute to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serve as the key partner for the relevant factory manager in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and adjusting in implementation as needed.

2. You will maintain constant contact with relevant other managers and Controllers regarding financial, market and customer situation and outlook.

3. You will translate strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets. Oversee the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serve as the interface to HQ/Country CFO/Global/Local Division Manager.

4. You will evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, build scenarios and recommend actions.

5. You will monitor progress achieved and provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making.

6. You will identify issues and advise management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve.

7. You will drive appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency.

8. You will manage and closely monitor the cash flow and take action to improve Net Working Capital. Special focus areas: product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis/inventory analysis, incl. cycle count results.

9. You will identify and communicates commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.

10. You will execute risk review procedures and processes in line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risks and exposure.

11. You will establish and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.

12. You will ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.

13. You will implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure reporting system complies with IFRS, PRC GAAP , and tax requirements respectively.

14. You will ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Define and implement internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations.

15. You will ensure compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines. Support internal and external audits, coordinate and review audit result and implement improvements. Act as integrity officer of the company, ensure that integrity trainings are done and complied with, provide documents relating to possible integrity investigations.

16. You will ensure timely and efficient communication with relevant Local/Country/Division/Region Controllers, Accounting Center, and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility.

17. You will ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies. Manage the team of accounting and controlling professionals to maintain a stable and efficient operation.

18.You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. Bachelor or master’s degree majored in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or Economics etc.;

2. Ten plus years of working experience, big four accounting firm plus MNC/domestic industries experience is preferred;

3. Familiar with PRC tax regulations, PRC and IFRS tax accounting principles;

4. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP (ideally with SAP)

5. CPA or CTA is preferred,

6. Fluent in English (spoken and written)

7. Good communication skill and teamwork-oriented

8.Good inter-personal skills, result and customer oriented
