About this role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and finance team management within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls while supporting the CFO in achieving the organization's financial objectives. Responsibilities: • Manage the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the business. • Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and accounting transactions within Tally Prime Gold Software. • Perform monthly reconciliation of Sales, EFD reports, VAT returns, and related statutory records. • Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports within agreed timelines. • Prepare and present monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and other financial reports. • Oversee General Ledger (GL) accounting activities. • Supervise and guide the finance team on expense booking, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. • Ensure timely preparation, filing, and payment of all statutory obligations. • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. • Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow. • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management. • Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the CFO. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. • CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory. • Minimum 5–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment is essential. • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and statutory compliance. • Hands-on experience using Tally Prime Gold Software is mandatory. • Experience managing finance teams and overseeing accounting operations. • Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime Gold Software, including General Ledger management, statutory reporting, inventory accounting, VAT reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes (Mandatory).
