As a Financial Analyst II on the CMD Expense Management Team, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career forward by collaborating with stakeholders in support of finance and accounting operations, generate analytical insights, produce reports to drive strategic decisions, and ensure financial discipline throughout the financial close process. We are seeking a dynamic professional that will build relationships across the enterprise, comfortable working with complex financial data, detail-oriented, and is an excellent communicator.

How you'll help us move forward:

  • Develop materials and financial models for the annual expense study.

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards, and presentations, delivering clear financial insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Support budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Prepare and post journal entries under guidance to support effective expense management.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and reporting automation.

The experience you bring:

  • 3+ years’ work experience in financial planning and analysis or related with demonstrated progression of responsibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Peoplesoft, Oracle EPM applications (EPBCS-Planning and Budgeting, EDM-Data Management) or similar financial systems preferred.

  • Demonstrates high attention to detail, accountability, and responsiveness to requests, and a good sense of urgency as needed.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must have strong MS-Office skills (Word, PowerPoint) with expertise in Excel

  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in high-demand periods and manage multiple priorities.

  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to cross-train with team members.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$84,870.00 - $103,730.00
