About this role
FINANCIAL LITERACY CONSULTANT
We Want To Change The World. We Believe It Starts With Education.
In India, 100 million children from low-income communities grow up without access to the 21st-century skills they need to thrive — from emotional intelligence and digital literacy to everyday money management. This gap leads to a lifetime of limited opportunity, intergenerational poverty, and rising mental health concerns.
What Are We Doing?
At The Apprentice Project (TAP), we're building India's boldest bet on education equity — an AI-powered learning buddy that helps thousands of government school students unlock 21st-century skills. We don't just teach coding or financial literacy — we spark self-confidence, creativity, and lifelong curiosity in children who've been told to "stay in their lane."
We're not looking for employees. We're looking for co-builders — people who want to create generational change, one student at a time.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can take a complex financial concept and make it feel simple, relatable, and even fun for a 12-year-old. You don't need to be a finance expert — but you do need to be curious, resourceful, and genuinely excited about creating content that connects with children. You're comfortable experimenting with AI tools, you care about getting the details right, and you can take feedback and improve quickly. If you believe that a well-made three-minute video can change how a child thinks about money for the rest of their life — you'll thrive here.
About The Role
Location: Remote
Type: Part-time, Consultancy
Reports to: Curriculum Team Lead
What You'll Do
- Create 3–4 minute self-learning Financial Literacy videos designed for school students.
- Turn learning outcomes into simple, engaging lessons that children can follow independently.
- Research concepts using reliable sources and translate them into child-friendly scripts.
- Use AI tools for visuals, voiceovers, and video creation — and stay curious about what's new and better.
- Edit and produce videos using tools like Canva, CapCut, or PowerPoint.
- Incorporate feedback from the Curriculum Team to improve content quality.
- Explore new AI tools and proactively suggest smarter, faster ways of working.
Who You Are
- Able to explain concepts simply and clearly — you instinctively think from a child's perspective.
- Enjoys researching, learning, and diving into new topics.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools — you don't need to know everything, but you need to be willing to figure it out.
- Has basic video editing skills and is comfortable working across multiple tools.
- Has basic Financial Literacy knowledge or is genuinely willing to build it.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Hindi.
Skills You Bring
- Content Simplification: Ability to take complex or dry concepts and turn them into engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Script Writing: Strong written communication with the ability to write short, conversational, child-friendly scripts.
- AI & Tool Fluency: Comfortable using or learning tools like Canva, CapCut, Clipchamp, ChatGPT, Gemini, Gamma, and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn matters more than knowing them all.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for quality — in content accuracy, visual clarity, and overall learning experience.
What Success Looks Like
- Videos are delivered on time, at the right length, and to the quality standard set by the Curriculum Team.
- Scripts are clear, engaging, and genuinely accessible to school students.
- Feedback is incorporated quickly and without compromising quality.
- New tools and approaches are proactively explored and shared with the team.
Why Join Us?
Because the videos you create will reach children across India who have never had anyone explain money to them in a way that makes sense. Every script you write and every video you produce is a child's first real introduction to financial confidence. At TAP, content is not just curriculum — it is the difference between a child who understands their financial future and one who doesn't. If you want your creativity to count for something real — this is the place.
What You Can Expect?
- Creative ownership: You'll have real input into how concepts are brought to life — this is not a brief-and-execute role.
- Flexibility: Work remotely, on your own schedule, with clear deliverables.
- Learning: Constant exposure to new AI tools, content design approaches, and curriculum thinking.
- Additional work: Opportunities for additional hourly research and content tasks beyond the core scope.
- Compensation: As per the compensation structure for this role — details will be shared during the selection process.
Selection Process
Interested candidates are required to complete a Pre-work Assignment as part of their application. Details of the assignment will be shared along with the application link.
