Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer

We are currently seeking Financial Services Regulatory Lawyers to work with a variety of Axiom clients across banking, fintech, payments, asset management, insurance, investment and wider regulated financial-services sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on financial-services regulatory matters, including FCA and PRA requirements, conduct, governance, risk, product and business-as-usual issues.
• Support regulatory change projects, product launches, financial promotions, customer documentation, outsourcing, operational resilience and wider compliance initiatives.
• Draft, review and advise on a broad range of regulatory and commercial materials, including policies, procedures, customer terms, governance documents, product documentation and regulatory submissions.
• Work closely with legal, compliance, risk, product, operations, commercial and senior business stakeholders to manage regulatory risk and deliver pragmatic solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or an equivalent qualification with relevant UK financial-services regulatory experience.
• Experience advising on one or more areas of financial-services regulation, including banking, payments, fintech, consumer finance, asset management, insurance, investment services or financial crime.
• Experience gained in private practice, in-house, on secondment or within a regulated business, financial institution, consultancy or professional-services environment.
• Strong commercial awareness, legal judgment, drafting, stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic and business-focused advice.
