This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Summit Club, set outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Summit Club is seeking a Wellness Attendant to join the Wellness department.
This role requires a deeply passionate, discerning, and dedicated Receptionist/Attendant that can perform at the highest level. The ability to maintain an atmosphere of exclusivity, luxury, and impeccable standards is a must. The Receptionist/Attendant should be able to consistently exemplify the highest of member service standards and have the ability to deal effectively with members. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success within this role. Dependability and schedule flexibility are required.

This is a part-time position (~20 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and abide by DLC and Spa/Salon policies and procedures.
  • Provide members with a thorough and knowledgeable understanding of spa, salon and fitness
  • Greet members with a warm, friendly and sincere welcome upon arrival.
  • Provide members with a tour of facilities, when needed.
  • Educate members about products or services that can complement the treatment.
  • Establish rapport with members.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels by ensuring proper stock levels in retail. Communicate should any items need to be replenished.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly presentation of all retail items.
  • Listens and addresses member requests and responds with appropriate action and provides accurate information.
  • Conduct daily front desk/lobby area checklist inspection noting inconsistencies and accuracies, working alongside the Spa Director.
  • Participation in ensuring all monthly sales goals are being achieved and budgets are
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of respect, sensitivity and concern for members needs and issues in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Diffuse member challenges and communicate issues or complaints through the appropriate channels in a timely manner.
  • Interact cooperatively and with consideration to members and co-workers.
  • Adhere to Spa and DLC standards for member services, including FORBES 5-Star Standards.
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfection standards in compliance with, or exceeding, State Governing Boards and DLC SOPs and guidelines.
  • Communicates any maintenance/general cleanliness issues to proper departments.
  • Obtain and help maintain member requests, consent forms, and or any other documentation.
  • Exemplify a high level of professionalism, discretion, respect, and empathy when interacting with club members and team members.
  • Retrieve/return all FOB/keys to admin office.
  • Prepare/complete and communicate all reports for the day.
  • Able to process all transactions in TEI
  • Provide anticipatory service to members while they are visiting, including asking if they are interested in any beverage and or snack offering.
  • Assist Spa/Salon Management with Service Provider schedules, as needed.
  • Decisions of a broad nature are made in accordance with general policy and procedures.
  • Actively promote the Wellness Program, treatments, retail, and club services, activities, and directing/cross-selling members to other areas of the club/property.
  • Assists with daily set up of food and beverage items and equipment and replenishing and maintaining Spa pantry and snack display. Communicating promptly to replenish items.
  • Conduct daily checklist inspection for areas of oversight, noting inconsistencies and accuracies, working alongside and communicating to the Spa/Salon Manager and the Spa Director.
  • Responsible for inventory and stocking all guest supplies and linens.
  • Responsible for all aspects of cleaning the club facility throughout the day, including, but not limited to:
  • Pick-up and return loose equipment to designated area throughout the day.
  • Empty trashcans and dispose bulk garbage in designated bins throughout the day.
  • Clean and maintain all fixtures, woodwork, walls, and windows, as well as additional parking lot cleanup, as needed.
  • Vacuum daily and as needed throughout the day, moving furniture and equipment, as needed to insure thoroughness.
  • Dispose of all soiled laundry in designated bins throughout the day.
  • Replenish all linen in the Spa throughout the day.
  • Thoroughly clean sinks, mirrors, glass, countertops, walls, vents, windowsills, equipment, and floors throughout the spa/fitness center.
  • Responsible for preparing rooms/treatments for providers.
  • Responsible for opening/closing spa.
  • Maintain compliance with all State and Federal regulations including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
  • Participates, as requested, with marketing/special event planning and execution.
  • Commit to work schedule and have a great work ethic.



Qualifications


• High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Additional degrees and certifications preferred.
• Current first aid, CPR, and other safety certifications.
• Prior experience in luxury resorts, spas, or private clubs, preferred.
• Previous experience in the fitness industry strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of weight room cleanliness and organization.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work well alone.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
