Job Description - Floor Supervisor
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and responsible Floor Supervisor to oversee daily production activities on the manufacturing floor. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth conversion of semi-finished goods into finished goods while maintaining productivity, quality standards, safety compliance, and workforce discipline.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the shop floor.
* Monitor the manufacturing process from semi-finished goods to finished goods.
* Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
* Allocate manpower efficiently and monitor operator performance.
* Maintain adherence to SOPs, GMP, and safety guidelines.
* Ensure proper machine utilization and coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns.
* Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores and Planning teams.
* Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure product quality standards are met.
* Maintain production records, shift reports, and daily output reports.
* Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
* Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S implementation on the shop floor.
* Train and guide operators and helpers on production processes and safety practices.
* Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
* Investigate and report production deviations, delays, and incidents.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of production processes and shop floor management.
* Ability to manage manpower and shift operations.
* Good understanding of GMP, 5S, and workplace safety practices.
* Basic knowledge of production documentation and reporting.
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Good communication and team-handling abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer operations.
Experience
* 2–5 years of experience in production supervision or shop floor management.
* Experience in handling manpower, production planning, and process monitoring.
