We are hiring for Experienced Floor Techs in Buford, GA

Pay Range: $15.50/ hour ( we offer weekly pay!)

Schedule : Wednesday - Saturday 6am-5pm

We conduct 7-year background check and perform a drug test prior to employment. You must be 18 years old and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean various flooring surfaces including vacuuming with a push vacuum/backpack vacuum (9-12 lbs.)
  • sweeping, mopping and scrubbing.
  • Strip and wax various flooring surfaces.
  • Move furniture as needed to access flooring surfaces.
  • Ensure proper labeling and use of all cleaning chemicals available.
  • Maintains flooring equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
  • Operates specialized equipment as needed.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.
  • Drive a culture of constant improvement, identifying projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Abide by and enforce Sizemore’s and client’s policies and procedures as needed.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or recipient of GED.
  • floor tech experience either on a riding floor scrubber or a stand behind floor scrubber.
  • Previous janitorial related experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
  • Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy when dealing with any person no matter the circumstances.
  • Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potential stressful and time sensitive situations.
  • Possess good problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written. Working Conditions: • Majority of work will be performed in a climate-controlled building.
  • Extensive walking or standing for extended periods of time.
  • May encounter bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
