Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant to support daily café operations at Moorebank location. Working closely with our Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll help deliver high‑quality food preparation, barista service and customer experience within a busy corporate café environment.
You’ll assist with breakfast and lunch service, prepare fresh food items, operate the POS system, maintain café presentation, and ensure all customers — staff, visitors and clients — receive friendly, professional service.
This role suits someone energetic, organised and confident working across both front‑of‑house and kitchen support, with a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness and customer care.
Customer service — Provide friendly, professional service and build positive rapport with clients and visitors.
Food preparation — Prepare fresh rolls, fruit salad, muesli, sandwiches and other items as directed.
Breakfast & lunch service — Serve meals, operate POS/EFTPOS, manage coffee orders and support smooth service delivery.
Barista duties — Operate, clean and maintain commercial coffee machines, restock supplies and monitor daily milk usage.
Café presentation — Clean Bain‑Marie, coffee machine, service stations, tables and equipment; maintain appealing point‑of‑sale displays.
Kitchen support — Assist with dishwashing, equipment cleaning, stock rotation and food preparation using commercial kitchen equipment.
Safety & compliance — Follow ISS safety procedures, report hazards, attend toolbox talks and adhere to food handling requirements.
Stock & equipment — Restock fridges, record fridge temperatures twice daily, monitor consumables and support stocktakes.
General duties — Complete assigned tasks with minimal disruption and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills
Experience in a café, restaurant or food preparation environment
Barista experience or willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Immaculate personal presentation and strong communication skills
Experience operating POS systems
Hospitality qualification or competency training (desirable)
Previous experience in a corporate café environment (desirable)
