Job Summary

Tempur-Sealy, Belmont is seeking to hire a Line Supply - Material Handle for 2nd shift.

Salary Range: $19.55

What you will do:

  • Perform work task with a safety mindset in compliance with company safety standards. Protect themselves and co-workers from potentially hazardous work conditions. Alert leads and/or management about potential safety concerns.
  • Maintain and protect company quality standards by performing work tasks with a quality mindset.
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality concerning all proprietary information, data, and other related trade secrets.
  • Perform assigned tasks using standard operating procedures or instruction from team leader and/or management.
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for inventory, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, postage meter, and electronic inventory control devices.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Possesses the ability to read and interpret and understand shipping and/or receiving labels, possess the ability to perform and interpret numerical counting of product.
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse as needed by using mobile equipment such as fork trucks, pallets jacks, etc.
  • Communicate vital information to management, team leaders, and/or co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person as needed.
  • Promote and provide instructional support to newly hired team members or newly positioned team members to perform tasks through coaching, mentoring, or any other means to help improve knowledge and skill.
  • Promote teamwork by participating and encouraging teamwork through the facility through honesty, mutual respect, and trust.
  • Track production related information by entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form as specific processes require.
  • Promote the continuous improvement mindset by giving ideas for process improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and potential cost savings to team leader and/or management.
  • Follow all company policies considered as conditions of employment.

What you will need:

  • Certified forklift license / Ability to successfully obtain license.
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with safety programs in manufacturing environment is desired.
