As an Analyst, Pricing in Freight Forwarding at RXO, you’ll manage pricing requests, develop accurate customer-facing quotes, support air and ocean freight pricing activity, and partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service to respond to customer bids, RFQs, and strategic pricing opportunities. You’ll analyze carrier rates, market conditions, routing options, and cost structures to help deliver competitive, compliant, and profitable pricing solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Respond to pricing requests for ocean, air, road transportation, and related logistics services from sales teams across the company
  • Prepare accurate and competitive customer-facing quotes, including freight charges, fuel surcharges, security fees, and accessorial costs
  • Analyze airline, consolidator, ocean carrier, NVOCC, and partner network rates to support competitive pricing solutions
  • Review customer requirements and evaluate routing options, transit times, carrier reliability, and service alternatives
  • Compile contract and spot rates, market indices, carrier pricing changes, and contract utilization data to support RFQs and customer bids
  • Conduct margin analysis to help ensure pricing supports profitability targets and company guidelines
  • Update rate management and configure price quote systems, working with internal teams and third parties to keep pricing information current
  • Maintain carrier contract information, rate repositories, and pricing documentation
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service to support new business, pricing agreements, and customer pricing reviews
  • Communicate pricing recommendations, market intelligence, and quote activity to internal stakeholders
  • Support strategic network, procurement, and trade lane pricing initiatives

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military or work experience
  • 1 year of experience in the transportation and logistics industry

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience pricing ocean, air, and road transportation services
  • Understanding of carrier contracts, tariffs, and rate structures
  • Familiarity with international shipping documentation, trade lanes, and Incoterms
  • Experience supporting customer RFQs, bids, and pricing initiatives
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with transportation, freight forwarding, CRM, or pricing management systems
  • Exposure to CargoWise, PNet, Catapult, Freightos, or similar platforms
  • College credits in International Business
  • Experience pricing drayage, transload, or warehousing services
