Frontend Engineer – SDE-1
About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer – SDE-1 who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable, and customer-facing web applications.
You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Engineering teams to build seamless digital experiences using modern JavaScript technologies. Our technology stack is heavily built around JavaScript, giving you the opportunity to work across multiple services and integrate them into a unified, reliable system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, scalable, and high-performance frontend applications using React.js.
- Build reusable, maintainable UI components and contribute to frontend architecture.
- Work with JavaScript/ES6+, React, Redux, and modern frontend development practices.
- Translate product and design requirements into intuitive, customer-friendly interfaces.
- Integrate frontend applications with multiple backend services and REST APIs.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other engineering teams.
- Write clean, modular, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Identify and resolve performance, usability, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and continuously improve development practices.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in frontend/web development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and hands-on experience with React.js.
- Good understanding of Redux or similar state-management libraries.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
- Experience with SASS/SCSS, Tailwind CSS, or CSS-in-JS.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and frontend-backend integration.
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience building customer-facing B2C applications.
- Experience with hybrid applications or mobile-web experiences.
- Exposure to frontend performance optimization and web accessibility.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
- Understanding of CI/CD and cloud-based deployment workflows.
- Experience working in a product-based, e-commerce, fintech, health-tech, or consumer internet environment.
