Ancient Crunch Inc. is the fastest-growing healthy snack brand in the U.S. Our flagship product, MASA Chips, is the #1 selling tallow-fried tortilla chips in premium retailers like Erewhon. We manufacture all MASA products in-house at our Hackettstown facility using real ingredients—no seed oils, artificial flavors, or preservatives. All operations adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.

Reports To: Fulfillment Manager
Location: Hackettstown, NJ
Schedule: Monday - Friday; weekend availability and a flexible working schedule are required for this 40-hour per week position. Specific shift assignments will be determined by the direct supervisor or manager and are subject to change based on evolving departmental and operational requirements.

Position Summary

The Fulfillment Associate handles orders by receiving, picking, packing, and shipping product accurately and safely in the warehouse. This role tracks inventory, operates equipment, and helps ensure orders go out on time.

The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive. As Ancient Crunch scales, the requirements of this position will expand and adapt. The Fulfillment Associate is expected to lead new initiatives and assume additional duties consistent with this title and the long-term evolution of our fulfillment and operations strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment

  • Pick and pack items based on order requests, packing them securely for shipment.
  • Process DTC orders in ShipStation, following FIFO and documentation standards.
  • Support wholesale order fulfillment in SPS Commerce, helping keep order statuses up to date.
  • Help fulfill Amazon orders and keep inventory updated as items go out.

Inventory and Receiving

  • Unload deliveries, check incoming goods for damage, and log items into the system.
  • Restock shelves, keep storage areas organized, and help with cycle counts and inventory checks.
  • Flag low stock or flavor shortages to the team.

Documentation and Labeling

  • Prepare basic shipping documents, including packing lists, case labels, and BOLs.
  • Print and apply labels for wholesale and DTC orders.
  • Record SKU details, bag counts, and batch numbers for orders as needed.

Equipment and Safety

  • Use scanners, pallet jacks, and certified machinery (like forklifts) as needed.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety and GMP guidelines.

General Support

  • Help the team stay on schedule and complete tasks as assigned by the Fulfillment Manager.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Experience: Warehouse or fulfillment experience preferred
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable learning basic warehouse software (e.g., ShipStation, SPS Commerce).
  • Math: Comfortable counting, measuring, and matching quantities against order sheets.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to catch mismatched labels, wrong quantities, or damaged goods before shipment.
  • Time Management: Able to keep up with order volume and prioritize tasks during busy periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Works well with others across shifts and departments.
  • Following Instructions: Able to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures accurately.
  • Basic Tech Comfort: Comfortable using handheld scanners, tablets, and computer systems for logging inventory.
  • Punctuality & Attendance: Reliable attendance, including availability for weekend or flexible shifts as scheduled.

Physical Requirements (Onsite)

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials throughout the shift
  • Ability to use stairs and ladders throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, wet, and industrial production environments
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, hearing protection, face shields, and protective clothing

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to Hackettstown, NJ
  • Good memory, follow-up skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Interest in product quality, manufacturing, or food/science environments a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
