Functional / Business Analyst

Our client in the public sector is looking for a Functional / Business Analyst to support the analysis and delivery of business-critical applications. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and Agile development teams to translate requirements into structured deliverables, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical implementation. The role involves working across multiple applications and domains, contributing to new development tracks in a structured Agile environment. Requirements · Gather and analyze business and functional requirements · Translate requirements into user stories, epics, and specifications · Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders · Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams · Support backlog management and prioritization · Perform functional validation and testing of delivered features · Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivered solutions · Support delivery across multiple applications and teams Required Skills & Expertise Must Have · Strong experience as Functional or Business Analyst · Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments · Experience writing user stories and managing requirements · Experience in technical IT environments · Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops · Experience with process modelling (BPMN, UML) · Fluent Dutch (C2 level) · Ability to facilitate discussions in French Should Have / Nice to Have · Experience within public sector environments · Knowledge of requirement analysis in complex application landscapes · Knowledge of data and process modelling techniques · Technical exposure (SQL, APIs, debugging tools) Soft Skills · Strong communication and stakeholder management skills · Analytical and structured mindset · Ability to challenge business requirements constructively · Proactive and solution-oriented approach · Ability to work across multiple teams and domains · Strong ownership and accountability
