Fund Accountant

Our Client is an ASX-200 listed investment manager specializing in real estate funds and investment bonds. The group has a strong growth focus, with assets under management of $21 billion as at 30 June 2023. Our Client offers investments in listed and unlisted property across 460+ high quality office, industrial and healthcare buildings around Australia and New Zealand. Key Responsibilities: The tasks and responsibilities for the role include, but not limited to: Monthly reconciliation of consolidated fund accounting Monthly analysis of commercial performance and cash flow management Covenant reporting for financing facilities Preparation of year-end Statutory Reporting for unit trusts and partnerships Preparation of tax calculations (GST and income tax) Preparation of deliverables for financial reporting as required Liaising with multiple stakeholders across business units Qualification & Experience: The ideal candidate will be a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Audit (CIA) qualified Accountant with prior business services or property fund experience. Initial Big 4 or mid-tier CPA or CIA experience prior to any commercial roles or experience in property/ funds management will be highly regarded. CPA or CA qualification in progress is acceptable, with completion expected within a reasonable timeframe. A minimum of 3-4 years' commercial accounting experience is required for this position. The ideal candidate will also be/have: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience IFRS statutory reporting experience System experience (OneSource Accounts Production for financial statements, OneSource Trusts for income tax calculations, MRI property management system) Team player, exhibits flexibility for different tasks and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and utilize a level of initiative Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize A high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Proficient excel and analytical skills Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions are required High outcome orientation and drive Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
