About this role

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple General Cardiologists to support the National Institutes of Health located at 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda. MD 20892. Multiple shift schedules are available. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Competitive full-time and PRN pay packages are available to qualified candidates.

Position pays: $266/hr

Ansible is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in many arenas. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of health care, national security, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.

Responsibilities

  • Ultimately responsible for the oversight of all aspects of cardiac medical delivered to patients under their care.
  • Provide or assist fellows, residents, students and/or nurse practitioners in the process of evaluation and treatment of the patient, and actively participate in corrective actions against untoward responses to medical interventions.
  • Perform medical evaluations and treatment, as well provide consultative services to non-medicine services in a timely manner.
  • During scheduled tour hours, Cardiologists shall be available for all urgent assessments and interventions as part of the team.
  • Participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs.

Qualifications

  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the National Institutes of Health for the year in which the course of study was completed.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the Unites States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
