About the Role
Accenture Song is looking for an experienced General Manager - Media to join our Sydney leadership team. This newly created role reflects the continued growth and ambition of our media capability and offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping its future.
As a senior leader, you will work across commercial growth, people leadership, client management, and media investment operations. Reporting to the Head of Investment, Operations and Technology, Media ANZ, you will help drive business performance, strengthen client partnerships, foster a high-performing culture, and identify opportunities for future growth across the Accenture Song ecosystem.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded media leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence while inspiring teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Growth
Drive the Sydney media business plan and support long-term business growth.
Manage client profitability and commercial outcomes across the Sydney portfolio.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue streams.
Partner across Accenture Song to unlock integrated client opportunities.
Contribute to agency marketing initiatives and market positioning.
People Leadership & Culture
Champion a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
Lead employee engagement, development, and retention initiatives.
Support career development and succession planning across the Sydney team.
Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen capability and performance.
Senior Client Leadership
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Provide strategic oversight across key client portfolios.
Lead executive-level client engagement and industry events.
Support teams in delivering exceptional commercial and client outcomes.
Media Investment & Operational Excellence
Ensure best-practice investment standards, governance, and processes.
Partner with investment leaders to optimise media performance and operations.
Support resource planning, workflow management, and partner engagement.
Drive innovation while maintaining commercial discipline and operational rigour.
Qualifications
10+ years' experience in media, marketing, advertising, or consulting environments.
Demonstrated experience leading large teams, business units, or client portfolios.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing profitability and growth.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.
Experience driving new business, developing revenue opportunities, and leading pitches.
Strong leadership capability with a passion for developing people and culture.
Deep understanding of media planning, investment, partnerships, and the evolving media landscape.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while balancing competing priorities.
