General Manager - Multi-Unit Operations Aruba

Oranjestad, ArubaOn-siteFull-timeSenior · 7-10 yearsH1B likely

About this role

About the organization

Our client is the local operating partner of an internationally recognized quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand, active in multiple markets and operating according to the operational, quality, and brand standards of a leading global franchise system. The organization is expanding its restaurant network and is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead this growth.

About the role

As General Manager, you carry strategic, operational, financial, and people leadership across multiple restaurant locations and markets. You are the senior operational leader in the region: accountable for sustainable business performance, consistent brand execution, and building high-performing teams that deliver an excellent guest experience every day.

This is a hands-on, highly visible leadership role. You move comfortably between strategic market planning and daily operational execution, and you are not afraid to be present on the floor.

You will also play a leading role in establishing and expanding new markets: market entry strategy, legal entity setup, regulatory compliance, site selection, lease negotiations, financial infrastructure, recruitment, and the successful launch of new restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

Market leadership & strategy

  • Lead overall performance across multiple restaurant locations and markets

  • Develop and execute market business plans aligned with growth objectives

  • Identify expansion opportunities and support new store openings and remodels

  • Lead market entry and expansion: legal setup, compliance, site selection, and launch

Operational excellence

  • Ensure flawless execution of daily restaurant operations: food quality, service, speed, cleanliness, and hospitality

  • Monitor and improve KPIs: sales growth, labor and food costs, productivity, guest satisfaction, profit margins

  • Conduct restaurant audits and implement corrective action plans

Financial management

  • Own full market P&L accountability

  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts

  • Control costs and drive profitability

People leadership & talent development

  • Recruit, coach, and develop restaurant leadership teams (Area Coaches, Restaurant General Managers)

  • Build a strong succession pipeline

  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and recognition

Guest experience & brand standards

  • Champion an exceptional guest experience across all locations

  • Protect and strengthen the brand's reputation in the market

Compliance, safety & risk management

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & sanitation, labor law, and company policy

  • Maintain audit readiness across all restaurants

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred)

  • 7–10+ years of leadership experience in QSR, hospitality, or multi-unit retail operations

  • Proven track record managing multiple restaurant locations across several markets

  • Strong P&L ownership and financial acumen

  • Experience within franchised or corporate restaurant systems; experience with an international QSR brand is strongly preferred

  • A hands-on, energetic leadership style combined with strategic thinking

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influence across HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations

  • Willingness to travel frequently between locations, including regionally, and to work a flexible schedule

What we offer

  • A senior leadership role with genuine ownership and impact

  • A competitive executive compensation package with performance-based bonus

  • Vehicle allowance / travel reimbursement

  • Health and insurance benefits

  • Leadership development and training opportunities within an international brand system

  • The opportunity to help build and shape new markets from the ground up
