General Manager – Operations (Heavy Machinery & ADTs)

Job Summary Our Client, a Heavy Machine Company is seeking an experienced General Manager – Operations to lead and manage all activities related to heavy machinery and ADTs at a mining site. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and the effective utilization of personnel and resources. This position requires a strategic thinker with proven operational management experience in the mining and/or heavy equipment sector. The successful candidate will drive performance, foster a strong safety culture, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the site's strategic and operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee day-to-day operations involving heavy equipment and ADTs. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment reliability. Ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental standards. Manage and mentor teams across operations, maintenance, and logistics. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with company objectives. Requirements Proven experience in a senior operational role within the mining or heavy equipment industry. Strong knowledge of heavy machinery and ADT fleet management. Demonstrated ability in team leadership, safety compliance, and operational excellence. Prior experience working in Tanzania or East Africa is a strong advantage.
